What is a real Mystery School?

A real mystery school is a relevant, clarifying, empowering, healing, revealing, metaphysical school. A real ancient lineage with the keys to activate wisdom with a focus on training valued professionals who operate within a grounded spirituality to activate people's deeper ability to heal and empower their own life and the lives of others. With strength, courage and the inner peace to foster a consciousness shift to create a greater world peace.

I started out as a skeptic.

Based on training with the modern mystery school since 2007 I have come to deeply respect and value this lineage and it's teachings.

I was pretty skeptical at first. And then as I put the teachings and tools to the test I found real fruits from doing so. There have been many benefits for me as I have walked the path of progression in this mystery school tradition. I had a lot of misconceptions about mystery schools and a lot of weird myths that proved to be false. I also had a lot of hopes for the training and it's depth and those hopes have been fulfilled.

10 Myths I've busted about Mystery Schools:

Myth # 1) It's a bunch of old outdated stuff from ancient times that is not relevant to me in my life now...

Actually...

A real mystery school is always relevant because it teaches us how to get deeper clarity on oneself and life and this helps every aspect of life. Really knowing oneself and ability to always grow in clarity never goes out of relevance and is even more relevant today with how much misinformation there is in the world. This clarity also helps us adapt to change better.

Myth #2) Mystery Schools are for delusional people who are trying to escape real life...

Not True!

There are lots of fake mystery schools and entertainments that are like this... but on the contrary... A real mystery school is actually hugely clarifying because it expands our depth of understanding and sharpens our senses and discernment. We think we are so connected in modern times, and there are many good modern things, but there is so much distraction from knowing the deeper self , deeper social connections therefore what is truly meaningful to us can be lost in that noise. We have become too disconnected from our deeper self and from each other! Mystery School training reverses that. Being able to continually grow in your ability to see yourself more clearly and the world more clearly is hugely clarifying to us in our relationships because it brings in this realness of life, this allows for much deeper relating. The training slowly eliminates illusions and denials and shows us our real goodness and beauty and helps us bring joy and spiritual aliveness into our lives in a grounded way without the need for masks or illusions or personas.

Myth #3) Mystery Schools are disempowering hierarchical pyramid schemes with a bunch of true-believers giving their power away to one old white dude at the top. Nope! There are lots of groups like that which are not real mystery schools. However a true mystery school is empowering, because it offers advanced spiritual training that up-levels our own ability to learn and know the truth about our true self and life in ways that we can verify for ourselves, and we can apply these insight to make better choices in our everyday life experience. No one allows themselves to be put on a pedestal in the school. There is a path for all who are called to progress. No ceiling on how far you can go. Those who are in senior positions earn them every year through actually being in real service. Merit reigns not ego. The leadership at the top is held by counsels that steer the school not just one person. And it is multi-ethnic and international. It does not affect your ability to progress if you are a woman or have a different sexual orientation or have a different color of skin. That does not matter in a real Mystery School.

Myth #4) Mystery schools appeal to people who feel broken with the promise of healing and fixing what is broken in them and are full of people who are basically crazy or ill or feel disempowered.

Nah-uh!

A real mystery school offers healing because healing is a foundation for resilience in handling change and for empowerment. Life is change and if you can become graceful in change, your life is better. If you want positive change but are not resilient it's hard to allow even positive changes to come into your life. With more grace and resilience you are more at cause in your life also. A real mystery school is not a "savior" its a training for those who want to help the world become a better place. These are already empowered people, who feel the call. They are just training because they love expanding their ability to make a difference. I've seen that even if someone were to come in with a woe is me "fix-me" attitude, the teachings would dissolve such beliefs and move them toward empowerment rather than enabling a sense of disempowerment. People who stick around become empowered and become amazing at whatever they do as they walk this path.

Myth #5) Mystery School people are supremely weird people who study the most bizarre subjects that seem like they are in LA LA fantasy land.

No, the people can seem really weird sometimes that part is kind of true, (but we also have doctors and scientists and so on people from all walks of life) and a true mystery school goes into subjects that many have thought were fantasy or mythical, but a mystery school tradition is revealing. We study the great mysteries and mysteries are revealed. We come to see what they are from a more real place that is actually relevant, practical and real in every day life. There is a reason why ancient cultures from around the world have all talked about these things. The real knowledge about what these are is held in the mystery schools. And it is not like anything known in popular culture. There are more weird things in life that are actually real than there are fantasies. Mystery school teachings focus on what's real about them and actually help to remove illusion about the rest. You get to experience it for yourself, so actually it's the opposite of LA LA land. Truth is just stranger than fiction sometimes. That is why the approach to learning in a mystery school is so strong in discernment. We cover topics that are not taught about in popular culture and ones that are often hugely misunderstood. I have found that the these classes are actually very practical when applied in life. It's just really different. That is part of why it is a "Mystery" because without the right training it is hard to wrap the brain around. Life is very deep.

Myth #6 You can have Magic or you can have Science but you can't have both! Mystery Schools teach Magic so it can't be real! This all must be fake!

Totally False!

In a real mystery school we are dealing with advanced metaphysics physics and the consciousness piece are taught together and seeing how they connect, this is the real "meta-physics". The real mystery school teachings such as Hermetic Kabbalah and the Hermetic Principles are so similar to the latest studies in quantum mechanics and string theory physics that it is uncanny, only it has been around for thousands of years. In a real Mystery School spirituality, science, physics & magick are all connected and grounded in a real mystery schools approach in an objective reality that can be self-verified. You don't have to believe in it. It is real because it proves to be so.

Excessive subjectivity is discouraged in a real mystery school. No blind faith is required, nor is it encouraged in a real mystery school. And blindly believing people the "true believers" do not last long in a real mystery school, or they learn discernment if they stick around.

Making up things or having illusionary visions is all discouraged and instead the ability to discern and to know the real is what is emphasized. By understanding these hermetic principles and having the real meta-physics of consciousness we can see that magic is a real thing woven into the very fabric of our vast multi-verse universe and consciousness given to us by god. It is all united. We make a distinction: Magic with a "k" "Magick" is not about illusion or slight of hand, it's about the ability to apply this deeper knowledge grounded in reality. We encourage a full use of the heart and the brain in this school.

Myth #7 Mystery schools are a pointless study in fake spirituality so a few people can make a bunch of money off of others when spiritual stuff should be given away for free.

Not true!

There are lots of groups teaching a bunch of mumbo jumbo, but

a real mystery school teaching our practitioners are trained to be valued professionals and the overall path of progression is as rigorous as going to a university. It's practitioners actually fly in to be retested, upgrade what they know and re-certify every year to maintain their professional certifications. It's not a religious model. It's like a "university for the soul" model. It's training for healers and those who want to shift consciousness and create peace from the inside out.

Religions are operating in a non-profit model. But a mystery school is not a religion. It is more like a specialized trade school that helps you expand your awareness and capability to heal & empower yourself and others. As to the "fake" spirituality part, the teachings here are universal and were gathered from around the world in the time King Salomon. It was based on "what works works" model. And it has been tested on people from all over the world so we know it works for all people. The energetic experience of the training is really here and palpable, it is not a faith thing. It does not matter what religion you are. These are universal teachings. Because of all of this it has tremendous value and gives tremendous value to those who apply it.

Some people believe all spiritual things should be free, but this has never been true. By valuing spiritual training we are able to do more of it rather than as a hobby it can become a true way of life. This is a good thing. And those who are in this school and lineage also give a lot away -service for free to those who can not pay and those in need because it is the right thing to do. Over my years of training I have only grown in my capacity to give and earn money. I have become more abundant and I have given more to the world. When people can pay... There is a "equal energy exchange" for training in spiritual means that has always been there since ancient times. This is hugely empowering to people. And some training requires this kind of exchange to work. It must be honored, and value understood by the one receiving it.

Myth #8 A mystery school is a bunch of spiritual bypassing love and light nonsense with no one saying the truth, just saying what people want to hear so they will stick around and feel comfortable and part of a tribal herd instinct of people in denial of the hard facts of life.

On the contrary:

The mystery school is about being real. In this way it's a grounded spirituality. The mysteries are like the missing studies whose omission has prevented us from having the whole picture so we can understand more clearly what "real" really is. So when you study in a mystery school you are actually undoing any spiritual bypassing tendencies if you had any. And the mystery school is not all kittens and fluff. It's not even PC. Training can be very challenging, some of it is not easy and it is not always comfortable to deal the ego or the pollution of the mind, although we do also experience a great feeling of joy to be training together, and we do have a lot of fun and do work with light and learn to love ourselves and life more... this is only part of the training, it requires a bit of healing to deal with "hard facts of life" as they arise and it also takes some of that archetype of the "peaceful warrior" type energy too, (this is more in the Ritual Master side of the training.) It will definitely push your buttons help you see your blindspots and it does have real healing to help you handle tough stuff with more balance and resilience. But it not all easy or comfy. You really develop great inner strength from this training. Ultimately this prepares you to handle the truth of life and to live fully in it. This again is empowering.

Myth#9 A mystery school does not change anything of real value for a person. They are better off studying in a regular school.

Nope FALSE!

A mystery schools activations and initiations literally turn on and are activating the codes of a persons energetic makeup and this shifts a persons life trajectory and expands their capabilities dramatically over time. If you have a school you love then great, the mystery school training will activate your potentials so you can go deeper, learn faster, understand more and delve farther into new applications with what you are learning. I have seen this happen to so many people.

Myth#10 A mystery school is all just stuff I could read in a book, online or ask an AI about. It has no inherent value beyond the knowledge. The experiences and practices may be fun but they are not actually what makes any change happen. Anyone can just do the things you are saying there is nothing different between a mystery school and a seminar company.

Wrong again!

A real mystery school has keys that help you turn knowledge into something more. They are like "operating keys" that give you the ability to operate the thing and put it to good use. Like a key is required to operate your car. They put you in the drivers seat of your knowledge and make it possible to turn your insights into actions that make a difference.
